Meta Advantage+ AI Video and Agentic Ads: Seller Strategy Guide
Meta Advantage+ AI Video and Agentic Ads: Seller Strategy Guide
Meta offers AI-assisted creative tools for advertisers, including features within Advantage+ creative. Its public materials describe video generation from a single image and creative adjustments for different placements. Meta has also expanded a Meta AI business assistant beta for account support and campaign recommendations. These are different tools with different availability; neither should be treated as an autonomous campaign manager in every Ads Manager account. Meta’s Advantage+ creative update and business assistant update describe the current scope.

What the video tools do
Meta says an Advantage+ creative video-generation feature can make studio-style videos from a single image asset. The output still needs a review against the actual product, price and offer. Meta’s public description does not establish that every input becomes a six-second video, that a product rotates in a specified way, or that the feature is present in every account. Check the creative options shown for the specific ad before planning a workflow around them. Meta creative announcement
For Reels, Meta’s business guide distinguishes adjustments to image and video aspect ratios from image expansion, which uses generative AI to extend an image for a 9:16 placement. An image-expansion description does not verify the draft’s claim that a “Video Expansion” control uses diffusion outpainting on every video or prevents distortion. Inspect each placement preview and replace an unsuitable crop or generated frame.
Catalog product video is another, separate area. Meta says it is testing tools that use an advertiser’s video assets as templates to generate videos for products in a catalog, along with flexible catalog-video layouts for Instagram Reels. This does not establish an always-on pipeline that automatically adds price tags and companion recommendations to every SKU or updates video whenever inventory changes. Check the catalog data and the options available in the account before using a generated asset. Meta catalog-video update
What the business assistant does
Meta said it began testing an AI business assistant with advertisers in late 2025 to help with optimization and account support. It described an assistant that remembers advertiser goals and offers personalized performance recommendations. Meta later announced wider beta availability for advertisers and agencies in major markets and languages, with personalized insights, natural-language answers and some account-support tasks in its advertising interfaces. Availability and controls remain account dependent. Meta’s initial update and beta expansion update set out that narrower scope.
Those announcements do not support the original draft’s step-by-step promise that an assistant will build a campaign from a prompt, choose lookalike audiences, pair catalog sets, apply uploaded brand rules, produce three to five variants, or reallocate a daily budget. Do not assume an “Apply to Campaign” control exists. The assistant is also distinct from Meta Business Agent, which Meta describes chiefly as a customer-conversation tool. A practical review workflow
- Open the ad’s creative settings and check which Advantage+ options are available for this account, objective and placement. Treat a missing option as unavailable for this workflow.
- Start with an accurate product image or an approved video. Check that the catalog’s displayed product information matches the offer before selecting catalog creative.
- Preview any generated video, text and placement-specific crop. Look for altered product details, unreadable text, inaccurate claims and framing that cuts off the item. Edit, disable or replace an unsuitable asset using the controls offered in the account.
- If the business assistant beta is available, use it for questions or recommendations within its documented scope. Verify any suggestion in Ads Manager and keep campaign creation, budget and publication decisions with an authorized account user.
Meta explains that ads created or significantly edited with its generative AI features can receive an AI information label. Review the current Meta transparency guidance when assessing creative. No generated variation, assistant recommendation or placement adjustment guarantees sales or return on ad spend.

Can generated creative be reviewed?
Review the previews and controls available in the account before publishing an ad. Check product accuracy and each intended placement; do not assume a generated version is suitable merely because it was offered by the tool. Meta Reels business guide
